Holy Island

As part of the 4th year design studio programme at the School of Architecture, UCD, students and staff travelled to Holy Island, Lough Derg. In Semester one, the studio will examine the issues surrounding rural settlement in Ireland by testing settlement scenarios for 2,500 people on Holy Island and on two other sites in Ireland - the bogs in the midlands and the west coast of Ireland.
