Public Engagement with Architecture in Ireland 2009
The Arts Council has today published online "Research into Public Engagement with Architecture in Ireland" [2009]. This is the first significant piece of research into this issue carried out in Ireland. The research was initiated and managed on behalf of the Arts Council by Emmett Scanlon / CAST architecture during 2008-2009.

Tommy Barker of the Irish Examiner has today written about our project in Sandymount. "Small is beautiful as architect owner opts for simplicity", writes Barker.
We are working on a new project in Dublin, developing ideas for an extension and refurbishment of a house in Portobello, Dublin. The pencil drawing is a proposal for the rear extension.
Emmett is to chair a panel on Architecture and Health, running as part of the one day conference, Vital Signs - Arts and Health in Context - on October 15th 2009.
